Join our team as a Senior / Lead Data Engineer (Hybrid – Lisbon)!

What You’ll Do:

• Design and implement end-to-end data architectures, from ingestion to consumption (e.g. Medallion architectures).
• Build and optimize cloud-native data pipelines with a focus on Microsoft technologies (Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Synapse).
• Ensure high standards for performance, cost efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
• Implement data quality, validation, lineage, documentation, and monitoring at scale.
• Collaborate closely with business and analytics stakeholders, translating requirements into robust technical solutions.
• For Lead profiles: mentor engineers, review designs and code, and help shape platform standards and long-term evolution.

Qualifications:

• Strong experience in data architecture and design (ingestion, modeling, storage, orchestration).
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native data engineering, preferably in Microsoft Azure, but open to AWS or GCP with equivalent tooling.
• Solid background in data warehouses and data lakes, such as: Azure Data Lake, Delta Lake, BigQuery, Amazon Redshift
• Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and/or Spark.
• Experience with RDBMS (Oracle, MS SQL Server) and/or NoSQL databases (MongoDB, ElasticSearch, BigQuery).
• Practical knowledge of DevOps / DataOps, including CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven ability to optimize pipelines and storage for performance, cost, and operational stability
