Join our team as a MySQL DBA (Hybrid – Lisbon)!

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage and maintain MySQL databases to ensure optimal performance, availability, and reliability.
  • Perform regular ETL processes to integrate and transform data across systems.
  • Collaborate with development teams using PHP and .NET technologies to ensure database integration and functionality.
  • Troubleshoot database-related issues, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks and failures.
  • Monitor database systems for performance, implementing optimizations and tuning as required.
  • Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions to safeguard data integrity.
  • Develop and implement security measures to protect sensitive information.
  • Provide support and guidance to development teams on database design, queries, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience as a DBA with expertise in MySQL.
  • Strong knowledge of ETL processes and tools for data integration.
  • Experience working with PHP and .NET technologies for database-driven applications.
  • Proficiency in database performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization.
  • Knowledge of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Familiarity with database security best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.
  • Fluency in English (B2+), both oral and written.
