Join our team as a Backend Developer – MERN Stack (Hybrid – Porto)!

We are hiring for both Mid-level and Senior profiles.

What You’ll Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js and Express.js.
• Build and manage scalable and secure RESTful APIs.
• Design and optimize MongoDB data models, ensuring performance and scalability.
• Contribute to system architecture decisions, focusing on reliability and efficiency.
• Ensure high standards of code quality, security, and performance.
• Collaborate with frontend, product, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement processes.
• Support Agile practices, contributing to Scrum ceremonies and team delivery commitments.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience with MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js).
• Strong experience with Node.js and Express.js for backend development.
• Solid expertise in MongoDB, including schema design, aggregation, and performance tuning.
• Experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs at scale.
• Good knowledge of SQL and database performance optimization.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with testing practices, responsive design, or reactive programming is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to write clean, maintainable code.
• Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Continuous learning mindset and proactive attitude.
• Portuguese proficiency at a professional level (minimum B2).
• Living in Portugal and available to work in a hybrid model.
