Join our team as a Senior Backend Developer (Hybrid – Lisbon)!
What You’ll Do:
- Develop complex and scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, product managers, and DevOps, to deliver high-quality features.
- Take ownership of tasks, proactively identify risks and blockers, and lead technical initiatives with minimal support.
- Contribute to the system design and development of mission-critical services to improve business workflows.
- Ensure code quality through best practices, including unit and integration testing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience with Java development, with a focus on backend services.
- Expertise in System Design and creating highly scalable solutions.
- Proficiency in Data Structures and algorithms.
- Strong background in Microservices Architecture and related patterns.
- Extensive experience with Spring Boot and the Spring Framework ecosystem.
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Google Firestore.
- Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex technical problems.
- Experience with DevOps tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines (nice to have).
- Knowledge of GraphQL or other API technologies (nice to have).
- Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies (nice to have).
- Fluent in English, writen and oral.
