Join our team as an Embedded Linux Engineer (Hybrid – Lisbon & Porto)!

What You’ll Do:

• Generate operating system images for embedded devices, including device driver development and networking configuration.
• Port operating systems to specific embedded platforms (ARM/PPC-based).
• Participate in the complete development cycle, including design, implementation, and testing.
• Develop Linux-based solutions in user space and kernel space, with an emphasis on device drivers and real-time extensions (Preempt RT).
• Work with image generation tools like Yocto and Open Embedded.
• Develop and configure Layer 2 and Layer 3 network applications and protocols.
• Contribute to a collaborative R&D team in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications:

• Strong experience with Linux development in both user and kernel space.
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming and cross-compiling tools like GCC.
• Knowledge of Linux Preempt RT extensions and device driver development.
• Experience with Yocto/Open Embedded for image generation.
• Strong understanding of communication networks (protocols, topologies, Layer 2 & 3).
• Hands-on experience with version control systems such as GIT or SVN.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts (certificates, secure protocols, OpenSSH, OpenLDAP, filesystem encryption with TPM, firewalls).
• Scripting skills in Python and Bash.
• Experience in real-time systems synchronization (e.g., IEEE 1588v2/PTP protocol).
• Familiarity with Docker, KVM, and other virtualization technologies.
• Basic understanding of electronics and laboratory instrumentation.
• Strong problem-solving skills, teamwork orientation, and self-organization.
