Join our team as an SQL Database Administrator (Hybrid – Lisbon)!
What You’ll Do:
- Administer, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases, including Transact-SQL, SQL Jobs, and backups;
- Perform SQL Server installation, updates, upgrades, and maintenance;
- Manage SQL Server migrations and ensure data integrity and minimal downtime;
- Work with Microsoft Windows Server versions 2003 through 2022:
- Utilize SQL Server Analysis Services, Reporting Services, and Integration Services for data analytics and reporting;
- Implement and manage database replication, log shipping, and AlwaysOn/mirroring for high availability and disaster recovery;
- Apply ITIL best practices to manage database services and processes;
- Monitor and tune database performance, ensuring optimal operation and resource utilization;
- Administer and manage databases from MS SQL Server 2000 through 2022, including partitioning;
- Manage and maintain MongoDB databases;
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation for database configurations, processes, and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field;
- Proven experience as a SQL Database Administrator, with expertise in Transact-SQL, SQL Jobs, and backups;
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server installation, update, upgrade, and maintenance processes;
- Experience with SQL Server migration and high availability solutions (AlwaysOn, mirroring, replication, log shipping);
- Proficiency in SQL Server Analysis Services, Reporting Services, and Integration Services;
- Familiarity with ITIL practices and principles;
- Excellent performance monitoring and tuning skills;
- Experience with database partitioning and administration of MS SQL Server versions 2000 through 2022;
- Knowledge of MongoDB administration;
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills;
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities;
- Fluent in Portuguese and English, both oral and written.
