Join our team as a Database Administrator (Hybrid – Lisbon)!

What You’ll Do:

• Provide specialized technical support for Database Administration services, mainly Oracle, MySQL, and Exadata.
• Respond to and resolve database-related incidents, problems, and technical queries.
• Manage and maintain databases in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Contribute to the implementation and support of database-related projects.
• Monitor database environments and troubleshoot day-to-day performance and operational issues.
• Ensure databases maintain optimal performance, availability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with different teams supporting applications and software dependent on databases.
• Implement database best practices, process improvements, and operational standards.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and database procedures when required.
• Follow established security standards and best practices for database administration.
• Provide effective technical communication and collaborate with team members across ongoing operations and projects.
• Perform ongoing operational and maintenance tasks.
• Participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call support schedule.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant experience in Database Administration.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent education and experience.
• Proven experience administering Oracle databases across different versions.
• Experience with MySQL database administration.
• Knowledge of Oracle RAC.
• Knowledge of Oracle Data Guard.
• Knowledge of Oracle Exadata — differentiator.
• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) — differentiator.
• Strong understanding of database performance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of database security standards and best practices.
• Ability to contribute to database projects and process improvements.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Willingness to continuously learn and update technical knowledge.
• Oracle certifications are a plus.
• Postgraduate degree in a relevant field is a plus.
• Portuguese: Native.
• English: Minimum B1 level.
• Availability to work in a hybrid model, with at least 2 days per week onsite in the Lisbon metropolitan area.
• Availability to participate in a 24/7 rotating on-call schedule.
• Must have a valid work permit or EU/Schengen nationality allowing legal employment in Portugal.
