Join our team as a Senior Sql Database Administrator (Hybrid – Lisbon)!

What You’ll Do:

• Install, configure, administer, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments across on-premises and Microsoft Azure infrastructures.
• Manage SQL Server instances throughout their lifecycle, including upgrades, patching, migrations, and version management.
• Administer development, testing, QA, and production environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
• Implement and maintain backup, restore, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
• Configure and manage high availability solutions, including Always On Availability Groups, Log Shipping, Database Mirroring, and Failover Clustering.
• Monitor and optimize database performance through query tuning, index maintenance, statistics management, and execution plan analysis.
• Manage SQL Server Agent jobs, database files, storage allocation, and capacity planning.
• Perform database migrations across SQL Server versions and hybrid cloud environments.
• Support SQL Server services including SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS deployments and operations.
• Collaborate with development, BI, infrastructure, and application support teams to ensure reliable database services.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver scalable and secure database solutions.
• Maintain technical documentation and promote database governance and operational best practices.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator.
• Strong expertise administering Microsoft SQL Server across on-premises and Azure environments.
• Experience managing large-scale, mission-critical SQL Server infrastructures.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server installation, configuration, upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle management.
• Hands-on experience with T-SQL, performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, statistics management, locking analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Experience implementing and managing backup, recovery, disaster recovery, replication, and high availability solutions.
• Knowledge of Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and hybrid cloud architectures.
• Experience with SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS is highly valued.
• Strong understanding of database security, including logins, roles, permissions, and auditing.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• English proficiency at a professional level (minimum B2).
• Living in Portugal and available to work in a hybrid model.
