What You’ll Do:.
- Define and communicate a clear product vision aligned with business objectives.
- Ensure all initiatives deliver measurable business value.
- Prioritize the roadmap based on impact, effort, risks, and strategic goals.
- Translate business and functional requirements into well-defined user stories and backlog items.
- Define acceptance criteria and ensure stories are ready for development.
- Prioritize and continuously refine the backlog according to business needs and dependencies.
- Balance roadmap initiatives with operational and continuous improvement activities.
- Engage with business, data, analytics, compliance, and technology stakeholders.
- Facilitate discussions to clarify requirements, expectations, and priorities.
- Challenge assumptions and requirements when necessary to maximize value delivery.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate progress, risks, and dependencies.
- Define and maintain requirements for data products, datasets, and data services.
- Ensure alignment between business requirements and data platform capabilities.
- Drive decisions related to data quality, accessibility, governance, and usability.
- Promote data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- Ensure data governance principles are incorporated into product requirements.
- Consider data lineage, quality, access management, privacy, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with governance and compliance teams to ensure adherence to policies.
- Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and prioritization activities.
- Work closely with Scrum Masters, Delivery Leads, and engineering teams.
- Monitor delivery progress and remove functional blockers.
- Support continuous improvement of Agile processes and team effectiveness.
- Maintain clear and structured documentation in Confluence.
- Create and update runbooks, process documentation, and decision logs.
- Document business processes, requirements, and architecture decisions.
- Ensure knowledge is shared across teams and stakeholders.
- Coordinate activities across DataHub, IT, Engineering, Analytics, and Business teams.
- Establish effective ways of working, governance forums, and prioritization processes.
- Manage dependencies across multiple initiatives and teams.
- Ensure alignment between strategic roadmap initiatives and operational demands.
Qualifications:.
- Strategic objectives and business priorities.
- Current pain points, opportunities, and expected outcomes.
- Key business KPIs and success metrics.
- Understanding of business processes supported by data products.
- List of key stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Roles, responsibilities, and governance structure.
- Existing communication and escalation channels.
- Stakeholder expectations and priorities.
- Existing roadmap and planned initiatives.
- Current backlog and prioritization criteria.
- Product vision, objectives, and constraints.
- Dependencies with other products, teams, and programs.
- Overview of data architecture and ecosystem.
- Key datasets, data domains, and ownership model.
- Data quality challenges and governance framework.
- Existing lineage, cataloging, and access management processes.
- Agile methodology currently in use (Scrum, Kanban, Hybrid).
- Jira workflows, boards, and reporting mechanisms.
- Team capacity and delivery cadence.
- Existing ceremonies and governance processes.
- Confluence spaces and documentation standards.
- Existing runbooks and operational procedures.
- Architecture principles and decision-making processes.
- Product management and governance frameworks.
- Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, BI Developers, Data Scientists, and Architects involved.
- Roles and responsibilities within the DataHub-IT organization.
- Team strengths, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
- English proficiency at a professional level (minimum B1).
- Living in Portugal and available to work in a hybrid model in Lisbon.
