Join our team as a Mid Data Engineer (Hybrid – Lisbon)!
What You’ll Do:
- Design, develop, and maintain reliable data pipelines and data integration workflows
- Implement ETL/ELT processes to support scalable and efficient data platforms
- Work with cloud-native data solutions using platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
- Develop and optimize data processing workflows using SQL, Spark, Python, and related technologies
- Support data architecture initiatives and contribute to technical architecture design decisions
- Troubleshoot data pipeline issues, optimize performance, and ensure data quality and reliability
- Collaborate with Analytics Engineering, Product Management, and cross-functional engineering teams
- Participate in code reviews, testing activities, and version control best practices
- Contribute to CI/CD and DataOps/DevOps practices for data engineering workflows
- Communicate progress, risks, and blockers clearly within the team
- Continuously improve development practices and contribute to scalable, maintainable data solutions
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Data Engineering
- Experience with Microsoft data technologies such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, and Synapse, or equivalent platforms
- Hands-on experience with cloud environments including Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
- Strong programming and scripting skills using SQL, Python, Spark, or similar technologies
- Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and data architecture principles
- Experience with Git, version control workflows, and code review practices
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and optimize data workflows efficiently
- Knowledge of testing practices and code quality standards
- Familiarity with DevOps/DataOps concepts and CI/CD pipelines is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and collaboration abilities in cross-functional environments
- Growth mindset with willingness to learn and adapt quickly
- Structured and methodical approach to task execution and delivery
- Openness to feedback and continuous professional development
- English proficiency at a professional level (minimum B2).
- Availability to work in a hybrid model in Lisbon.
