Join our team as an Automation Engineer (Hybrid – Lisbon)!
What You’ll Do:
- Automate the creation and configuration of cloud environments on Microsoft Azure to support data and analytics workloads
- Build, evolve, and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions to ensure consistent and repeatable deployments
- Develop modular and reusable automation playbooks using Ansible
- Embed infrastructure automation into continuous integration and delivery pipelines
- Collaborate with architecture teams to review, validate, and improve cloud infrastructure designs
- Apply security, governance, and cost-efficiency principles across all infrastructure solutions
- Contribute actively to Agile workflows, including sprint ceremonies and backlog management
- Produce and maintain clear technical documentation for infrastructure, automation, and operational processes
- Assist in analysing existing environments and proposing automation-driven improvements
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience automating Azure infrastructure, particularly for data and analytics platforms
- Advanced hands-on knowledge of Ansible for configuration and automation
- Strong scripting capability using PowerShell and/or Python
- Practical experience integrating automation with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
- Working knowledge of Azure services related to networking, identity management, monitoring, and security
- Experience operating within Agile delivery teams and tracking work through Jira
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on technical documentation
- Microsoft AZ-900 certification
- Good command of English and Portuguese, both written and spoken
- Living in Portugal and available to work in a hybrid model.
