Join our team as a DBA Engineer (Hybrid – Porto)!
What You’ll Do:
- Manage and maintain our database systems to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security;
- Install, configure, and upgrade database software and related tools;
- Design and implement database solutions to support our applications and business requirements;
- Perform regular database backups, disaster recovery planning, and data protection measures;
- Monitor database performance, identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, and optimize query performance;
- Implement and enforce database security policies and access controls to protect sensitive data;
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, including errors, failures, and data corruption;
- Collaborate with development teams to design and optimize database schemas, queries, and stored procedures;
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in database administration to continuously improve our systems and processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field;
- 5+ years of experience as a DBA, with a focus on MS SQL;
- Experience administrating other databases (Oracle, MySQL, Mongo DB);
- Experience with shell scripts, automation, monitoring, and devops tools;
- Experience with SQL query optimization, indexing, and database design principles;
- Knowledge of database security best practices and regulatory compliance requirements;
- Familiarity with high availability and disaster recovery solutions;
- Excellent communication skills in Portuguese and English, both oral and written;
- Workplace: PORTO (hybrid).
