Join our team as a Data Quality Engineer (Hybrid – Lisbon)!
What You’ll Do:
- Define, implement, and optimize data quality strategies, frameworks, and processes to ensure data reliability, accuracy, and usability across business domains
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, Data Owners, and Data Stewards to translate data quality needs into measurable rules and actionable metrics (completeness, consistency, integrity, timeliness)
- Design and maintain automated monitoring and alerting systems to proactively detect and resolve data quality issues, ensuring continuous improvement of data assets
- Support the implementation of data quality tools and leverage AI/ML techniques where applicable to enhance validation and monitoring capabilities
- Define, document, and govern data quality rules across domains, ensuring proper cataloguing and alignment with corporate data governance standards
- Analyze complex data issues, identify root causes, and propose technical and organizational solutions while validating outcomes against defined standards
- Contribute to the execution of the overall data quality strategy and support the development of robust data workflows, including data enrichment and integration processes
- Promote a strong data quality culture across the organization through workshops, training sessions, and cross-functional collaboration
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or Computer Science
- Knowledge of AI/ML techniques applied to data quality use cases
- Experience with IBM Watsonx Data Intelligence
- Certifications such as CDMP or other data management certifications
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
