Join our team as a C++ Senior Developer  (Lisbon – Portugal)!

What You’ll Do:

• Develop and maintain C++ components for a long-standing desktop application, with a strong focus on IT security, stability and software quality.
• Analyze existing and legacy codebases to identify security vulnerabilities, stability issues and opportunities for improvement.
• Design and implement robust fixes and security improvements based on established security requirements.
• Work with modern C++ (C++14/17/20) in a complex desktop environment using Qt and multiple legacy components.
• Develop and troubleshoot highly parallelized and multithreaded applications.
• Collaborate closely with Architecture, QA and Product Management teams to deliver secure, maintainable and high-quality solutions.
• Use AI coding agents such as Claude Code in your daily work to accelerate code analysis, troubleshooting and development.
• Contribute to the team’s shared AI agents, skills and prompt templates, helping continuously improve development practices.
• Support the continuous improvement of the product’s security, stability and maintainability.

Qualifications:

• Several years of professional experience in senior C++ development.
• Strong knowledge of modern C++ (C++14/17/20).
• Solid understanding of IT security, secure coding practices and vulnerability remediation.
• Strong experience with multithreading and debugging, preferably in high-performance and heavily parallelized desktop applications.
• Hands-on experience with CMake, Conan and MSVC.
• Experience working with Qt is highly valued.
• Comfortable working with large, complex and legacy codebases.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured and quality-oriented approach.
• Autonomous, results-driven and committed to software quality, security and stability.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
• A continuous improvement mindset and openness to adopting new technologies and AI-assisted development tools.
